Sources – Oklahoma State fires head coach Mike Gundy

Sep 23, 2025, 12:59 PM ETOklahoma State has fired veteran coach Mike Gundy, sources told ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Tuesday.The move comes one day after Gundy, 58, told reporters that he “100 percent” intended on remaining at Oklahoma State after the 2025 season.The Cowboys have dropped 11 of their past 12 games dating to the start of the 2024 season, with 11 consecutive defeats against FBS opponents — the longest such streak among Power 4 programs nationally.Gundy will be owed $15 million by the university.
