Sony on Monday (September 29, 2025) launched its premium flagship noise cancellation headphones, Sony WH-1000XM6, in India. The new overhead headphones succeed the WH-1000XM5 launched in 2022.The new Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones use a combination of 12 mics and QN3 chip for noise cancellation. It also supports adaptive noise cancellation optimiser.Sony WH-1000XM6 is the first Sony headphones to feature AI noise reduction and AI beamforming microphones. Sony WH-1000XM6 supports 360 Spatial audio along with DSEE Extreme that uses Deep Neural Network (DNN) technology, to analyse the sound being played back. It is able to switch between upscaling for vocals and upscaling for percussion instruments in real time. It also includes the Background music effect, allowing users to stay focused.Sony WH-1000XM6 supports dual Bluetooth connection at the same time along with Swift Pair for Windows devices.Sony WH-1000X6 comes with both, touch and button, for power and ANC. The headphones also reads head gesture for taking or rejecting calls.Sony WH-1000XM6 claims up to 30 hours of music playback on ANC and 40 hours without it. It can now be used even if plugged to charge.Sony WH-1000XM6 will be available in three colours: Black, Platinum Silver and Midnight Blue, priced at ₹39,990, starting today.
