Nothing’s CMF to operate as independent subsidiary in India, announces JV with Optiemus

Carl Pei, Nothing’s CEO on Thursday (September 25, 2025) shared that CMF, Nothing’s sub brand, will operate as an independent subsidiary, with India as its base for operations, R&D and manufacturing.He met Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Electronics and IT Minister and shared about Nothing’s plan for India. “We discussed our journey with Nothing and our plans to establish CMF as a subsidiary headquartered in India, building it into the country’s first truly global consumer tech brand. Built from India, to the world. With our end-to-end capabilities, we are uniquely positioned to bring this vision to life,” wrote Pei on X.
Nothing has also announced a joint venture (JV) with Noida-based Optiemus and said to invest over $100 million over the next three years and create more than 1,800 jobs in India.
